- Is a reloadable prepaid Visa-branded card or virtual card option used as a method to compensate human subjects and program participants. ClinCard is the preferred method for compensation payments.
- The program is available to units by requesting participation in the Petty Cash Application. ClinCard can be used for human subjects 18 years or older and anyone under 18 must have a parent/guardian consent on file and become a registered participant.
- Provides a transparent administrative system for loading, tracking, and reporting study payments. ClinCard and the associated compensation must be included as part of the informed consent.
- Provides a way to boost patient engagement and retention, helps eliminate manual processes, reduces administrative time, ensures tax reporting compliance, and improves real-time processing with safer security measures.
- Requires Personal Identifiable Information from each human subject to be entered (name, address and DOB). If a virtual card is selected, an email address will also be required for distribution.
Please note: IRB application/request must list Greenphire/ClinCard as the source of payment in the compensation section (can submit a modification, if necessary).
