Background
In 2015, the Finance Division invested significant time and energy with the See.Spark.Go firm to more closely connect with the UGA mission, the F&A mission, to identify our strengths and explore the service culture of our organization. This work resulted in deliverables such as the onboarding video, the communications tool box, and department specific activities and outward displays of our service orientation. In 2021, this initiative was expanded across all of the Finance & Administration division with the release of division-wide service and communication standards in our Elevation in Action manual and team “Why” statements. In late 2021, the Finance Division’s Spark and Elevation in Action committees merged to form the current Elevation in Action team.

Our mission
Our team consists of representatives from the Finance Division. Our mission is to set in motion a long-term culture and communications strategy that will allow for continued growth and ongoing enhancements in our organization. We will accomplish this through identifying methods for continuous evaluation and improvement of service-oriented culture and communication, new opportunities for enhancement of service-oriented culture and communication, making recommendations and proposals to leadership to implement these methods and ideas, and working with the Finance Division leadership and staff to implement approved proposals.
