Employees traveling overnight may be reimbursed for the daily per diem cost of meals within the maximum limits established in these travel regulations. Employees traveling overnight “Instate” are eligible for 75 percent (75%) of the total per diem rate on the first and last day of travel, less any provided meals.
There is one standard per diem rate of $50 a day for all cities in Georgia.

UGA does not provide meal per diem during non-overnight travel due to IRS taxable compensation implications.
